Dadasaheb Bidkar started a 'Grain Bank' 80 years ago at Mulher in Nashik District for the poor Aadivasi farmers; it is still running successfully. The farmers are provided with seeds before the start of the rainy season and after the harvesting, they give back the grains to the bank in multiples. Around 5,00,600 farmers take benefint of these undertaking. This grain bank is running successfully at Mulher, Dang Saundane and other paadas since 80 years. Bajra and Ragi (Nagli) are distributed every year. This is the only undertaking of this kind in Maharashtra. The Kokana and Bhilla farmers participate in the same. Their integrity and trust is very essential in this undertaking.
